| Abstract: | The meaning of Chapter Zong Shu in the book of Wen Xin Diao Long has long been misunderstood and incorrectly interpreted since Ji Yun and Huang Kan.The main reason of this mistake is a confusion of the meanings of "Zong Shi"(general modification) and "Zong Jie"(general summary).This mistake should be rectified.Paying great attention to rhetoric modification and objecting to crudeness is an important tradition of Chinese Literature. |
