Research on patent value evaluation based on the potential cost of protecting intellectual property

Based on reverse thinking, the potential cost of protecting intellectual property, which is closely related to infringement determination and designing around, is used as a standard for preliminary patent value evaluation. The empirical analysis shows that the potential cost of protection intellectual property evaluation method is reliability and applicability. The preliminary evaluation results provide the evidences for developing depth evaluation of the potential high value patent, which is beneficial to saving resources and improving the evaluation efficiency.
