建设小城市,加快陇东南地区城市化进程

陇东南是甘肃省人口相对稠密,但经济发展水平和城市化程度较低的地区。在陇东南广大的区域内,目前只星状分布着天水、西峰、平凉等少数城市。城市的稀少和城市结构体系的不完整,累积、激化了社会经济结构中存在的许多固有矛盾,严重制约着该地区社会经济的发展。从实际来看,该地区部分县域经济已发展到较高水平,一些县、市已具备了发展小城市或向中等城市升级的条件,因而应积极争取设市和升级以推动该地区城市化的发展。
