| 摘 要： | 《时间机器》是科幻小说奠基人赫伯特.乔治.威尔斯的重要代表作之一。该小说既有天马行空的想象力,又有改革社会、警示后人的深刻寓意,同时也不乏对未来科技的预见。小说中的未来世界建筑物破败,人类后代埃洛伊人智力和体力衰退,莫洛克人则形如猿猴,倒退到人类进化的起点。威尔斯从环境、埃洛伊人和莫洛克人这三方面的倒退体现了小说的退化主题。

| Abstract: | The Time Machine is the masterpiece of H.G.Wells,one of the earliest founders of the science fiction.The novel is both imaginative and pregnant with revolutionary ideas and satirical warnings,and foresaw the scientific development in the future.Wells tries Wells tries to explore the theme of degeneration by examining the environment,the Elois and the Morlocks depicted in the novel.The architectures shown in the future world are deserted.The Elois are degenerate in both physical strength and intelligence while the Morlocks are reduced to ape-like creatures. |
