It is a prodigious transition of the image of PAN Jin-lian that she,"a vamp" in the original work Outlaws of the Marsh, was depicted as "a jealous vamp and shrew" in the book Jin Ping Mei and was further created as "a gentlewoman" who fell into a wrong path in the pursuit of ideal love in the TV series Outlaws of the Marsh.
