非英语专业本科生多元化ESP英语课程学习需求分析——一项关于EGP向ESP过渡的大学英语课程模式改革实证研究

本文以Hutchinson和Water的需求分析模式为依据,通过问卷调查和访谈的方式对182名非英语专业本科生的ESP英语学习需求情况进行了调查,内容主要包括:学生学习的动机和态度;学生对ESP课程学习目标及学习方式的需求;学生对教材、教师及教学环境的需求。得出以下结论:非英语专业学生ESP英语学习需求总体上表现出多样性和个性化的倾向,呈分散态势;学生总体学习态度是积极的,学习动机以工作求职为主,希望通过ESP课程提高其专业英语交际能力;不同专业、不同英语水平的学生对开设ESP课程的态度方面存在显著性差异。

Learning Needs Analysis of Diverse ESP English Courses for Non-English Majors--- An Empirical Study of College English Curriculum Reform about the Transition from EGP to ESP

Based on Hutchinson Water Needs Analysis Theory and through questionnaire surveys and interviews, the paper makes an attempt to explore 320 Chinese undergraduates ESP learning needs, the contents includes： students＇ learning motives and attitudes; students＇ needs for learning targets and learning methods; students＇ needs for teaching materials, teacher and learning environment. The results indicate that on the whole students＇ learning needs for ESP are diversified and individualized, showing a decentralized distribution; Students take a positive attitude towards ESP, hoping to improve their professional English communicative abilities through ESP courses, finding a job is the main drive; There are significant differences in attitudes towards ESP courses between students of different majors and different levels.
