| 摘 要： | 此文引用英国作家萨克雷的小说《名利场》第五十九章《旧钢琴》中的例子，对英汉语言的差异从词汇、句法和篇章三个层面作了比较：在词汇层面，英汉语言的差异主要是形态、构词法和词序的不同；在句法层面，英汉语言主要是聚集与流散、被动与主动、形合与意合的差异；在篇章层面，二者有替换与重复、物称与人称等方面的对照。通过这些对比分析，总结出一些英汉互译的规律，以指导我们的翻译实践。
