On the Reasons of the Development of the Eastern Capitalism Lagging Behind That of the Western Capitalism

The thesis makes some theoretical reflection on the historical phenomenon that the development of the east-ern capitalism lagged behind that in the west in the period after the beginning of the modern times. Through the discussionsabout economic structure, political power,productive technology and ideology, it explores the reasons of the facts that thecapitalist production mode in the eastern countries stayed at the initial stage and that the societies developed slowly. It is be-lieved that this paper will contribute to our correct understanding of the modern history of the world and the east-west rela-tion,providing helpful reference in terms of acceleration of modernization in the eastern countries.
