Exploration of English Reading Teaching in the Context of Core Competence

English reading teaching is the key factor to improve students'English core competence.When teaching English reading articles,teachers should not only clarify the skills of reading articles,but also pay attention to cultivate students'English core competence.This paper first analyzes the problems existing in English reading teaching,and then discusses the teaching strategies of English reading under the background of core competence.We should explain the teaching materials carefully,skillfully use multimedia courseware to help students understand the content of the article,organize classroom activities with the help of teaching tools,innovate reading channels and strengthen reading communication.
