The vanguard novels by Yu Hua,through an exhibition of violence and deaths,tell the reader about the inclemency in worldly affairs and the dark and cruel side of human nature,the uncertainty of history and the helplessness of man with his fate.Violence,bloodiness,cruelty,relentlessness constitute the main content and interest of his works.But by examining Yu Hua's real ideas,his personal experiences,his background of education,we can find that the evils he exposed are based on a real idea of nihilism,and are therefore false evils because of the lack of a foundation.There exists falseness in his vanguard novels.
