Abstract: | This case study of a new private school investigated the implementation of a curriculum designed to incorporate project-oriented, problem-based learning and a constructivist approach to challenge above grade level' learners. Data from observations, interviews and documents revealed conflicting and competing values of the stakeholders which directly influenced the implementation of the intended curriculum. I discuss the origins of the school, factors which influenced the operational curriculum, and implications for initiating similar curriculum reform efforts. |
