中国本土大学崛起背景下的近代教会大学改革述评

为了应对中国本土大学崛起所带来的挑战,20世纪20年代后,在华教会大学按照"巴敦调查团"更加有效率"的方针进行了相应的改革。通过改革,教会大学的办学水平、教学质量得到了显著的提高,专业化程度得到进一步的加强,在一定程度上推动了中国高等教育现代化的发展。

Challenges and Countermeasures:On the Reform in Christian Universities Under the Background of the Rising Chinese Domestic Universities

At the beginning of 1920's,in order to reply to the challenge of the rising Chinese domestic universities,the Christian university carried on corresponding adjustments according to the policy of "More Efficient" under the Burton Commission's suggestion.By doing this,the Christian university made much progress both on administrative level and teaching quality,and became more professional.All this accelerated the modernization of China's higher education.
