Companionship between Chen Yingshi and Li Pingshu and the Recovery of Shanghai and Nanking in 1911

The association of Chen Yingshi with Li Pingshu was the precondition for the business circles and leading exponents of bourgeois at Shanghai to join the revolution against Qing Dynasty,and held the balance for the recovery of Shanghai and Nanking in 1911.Li Pingshu,who held the position of the civilian chief of Hu Army Government and other key positions,cooperated honestly with Chen Yingshi,the governor of Shanghai,and they had a good companionship.They contributed greatly to the stabilizing,building the new regime,and later occupying Nanking.The argument that recommendation of Li Pingshu and other leading exponents of bourgeois at Shanghai to join the government by Chen Yingshi was Chen's "serious compromise" was untenable.Bourgeois at Shanghai played a "major revolutionary role" at the Shanghai-Nanking battle during the Revolution of 1911.It is a kind of mechanical and idealistic mentality to use simple "class analysis approach" to comment on the relationship between Chen and Li and Bourgeois at Shanghai.
