| Abstract: | In the first part of this article two examples of first generation cellular systems, NMT and AMPS have been described. The features of 2G, GSM, CDMA and the characteristics of first generation CDMA, IS-95 have also been discussed. In this part, the concepts of 2.5G and 3G standards are presented. |
