从《冥祥记》看丧葬习俗

释氏辅教用书《冥祥记》记载内容较真实,文中记载了死而复生的事件,从中可见当时人们对死亡的看法;同时还保存当时的殡殓习俗,反映出晋宋之际殡殓时间通常较短,但很多时候因身暖而多日不殡殓,而殡殓仍用棺含之具;再者,文中提供了死后还魂方式以及人死后要设斋转经等习俗;最后简要介绍了葬法。这些内容简要勾勒出魏晋南北朝时期的丧葬信仰。

Legend of Buddhist Efficacy,a book for Buddhist teachings,is a record of resurrection,which reflects the public view on death at that time.The recorded funeral customs show the time for funeral was usually short in the Jin and Song Dynasties,and yet at times it was delayed because of the warm dead body. Coffins were used in most of the cases.Moreover,the book describes different resurrections and the fast day and circumambulations.At last,it briefs on the funerals.The contents illustrate the funerals beliefs in the Wei,Jin and South and North Dynasties of China.
