“京派”文学的文化底蕴——从老舍创作的文化品格说起

老舍是“京派”文学的经典代表,是北京文化精神的守望者。北京文化不仅是老舍真切的人生记忆,而且是他热切追求的生命理想;他从对人的态度、满人的秉性及市民的宗教精神诸方面揭示了北京文化深刻而丰富的底蕴;老舍作品对北京文化的准确阐释确立了“京味”文学的价值和地位,并以此见出北京文化及其发展对老舍小说及“京味”文学的影响和制约。然而,“京派”并不等于“京味”,“京派”有着更为宽厚与深刻的文化意蕴,认识这一点对当今北京文化与文学建设有着重要意义。

The Cultural Connotation of the Beijing School of Literature

Laoshe, a guarder on the cultural spirit of Beijing, is the classical representive of Beijing school of literature. The culture of Beijing is not only Laoshe's vivid life memory, but also the life ideal he pursues. He has deeply revealed its cultural connotation, his attitude towards others, his Man nationalism and the civilian religious spirits. His accurate inter- pretation of the Beijing culture has set up the value and status of the "Beijing estate" of literature, which in turn reflects the impact upon his literary works. However, the Beijing School does not mean "Beijing estate": the former has a much wider and profound cultural connotation. It is hence significant to realize this for the construction of Beijing culture and literature.
