| 摘 要： | 鸦片战争之后,传教士大批涌入中国,除从事宗教活动外,还在"西学东渐"的文化交流中起到桥梁作用。其中,由各差会派遣的"医药传教士"身兼"牧师"和"医生"双重身份,行迹所至,施医济药,兴办医院和学校。西医教育也随着教会医院的增多和西医医生需求量的加大而逐渐兴起。西方传教士对中国的西医教育,尤其是对民国时期西医教育的起步和发展、西医学校的建立、改变传统的医学传承方式等产生了重要影响。
