| Abstract: | The paper acknowledges the impact and challenges of the network on the library. Mean-while, it attacks the theory of the library's disapprearance from the view points od the requirement of soci-ety for the library, the information policy's attentiong to the library and the positive attitude of the library to the network. It is concluded that the library will continue to stay as before and make great progress. On one hand, the benefits of the network bringing to the library are described in the article. On the other hand, the special roles the library will play under the networked environment are summarized in nine aspects in it. |
