| 摘 要： | 委婉语的早期形式是禁忌语，它的出现离不开社会的需要。但随着人们对主客观认识的深化，其在跨化交际中产生的障碍，以及其模糊性终究掩盖不了所指事物的客观属性等原因，委婉语的使用范围日趋减小。

Transformation of pople's thought,the by-effect of euphemisms in intercultural communication,and the unchangeable property of the referent are attributed to euphemisms' decree. |
