摘    要:作为特定条件下的历史产物,“中体西用”教育模式为近代中西学提供了一个会接点,对近代中国教育的变迁具有至关重要的影响,但该模式以“重用轻体”为典型特征,并因此蕴涵着自身无法调和的内在悖论,“中体西用”模式所强调的“中体”本身是“求用”的产物,也靠“用”来支撑,“中体”缺乏一种“体”的支撑。中国传统的“天人合一”的整体性思维方式是导致“中体西用”模式存在内在悖论的文化根据所在。
