| Abstract: | To improve students' English reading ability, we should not only devote much attention to the teaching of language knowledge, language competence but also instruct students how to go on with their thinking activities while reading. Only by studying the author's conception, revealing the theme of the passage and grasping the cultural back ground, can the students connect language factors with non - language factors and develop their further understanding. |
