The Analysis and Thinking of Non- Major English College Students' Phonetic Learning

Pronunciation is the essential factor of language. However, phonetic teaching hasn't been sufficiently emphasized in the current college English teaching in our country, thus resulting in the students not to fully develop their synthetic linguistic skills. Through analyzing non-major English students' phonetic problems, this paper believes that, to improve completely the students' synthetic linguistic skills, teachers shouldn't ignore phonetic teaching. In addition, the paper proposes some suggestions as well.
