Student to teacher: novel strategies for achieving the transition

Becoming a teacher involves a complex compendium of skills, attitudes and knowledge for which a theory of role transition from student to teacher provides a framework. The paper delineates both the particular stages in this process and specific interventions teacher‐educators can use to foster movement through the stages.
