| 摘 要： | 土家木匠蕴涵着深厚的传统民族文化底蕴,积淀着特定的工艺文化内涵,它既反映了土家人一定的生活方式,也反映了土家人的智慧,还反映了土家人特定的价值观。土家木匠及木匠工艺曾经在土家族社会中发挥了独特的、无可替代的作用。但是,在社会转型期,土家木匠及其工艺的发展既面临着挑战,同时也面临着机遇。这里主要在田野调查的基础上,论证了木匠的发展前途是转型,并提出了实现转型的对策。
