Abstract:A steady state finite difference method is used to calculate EM fields generated by an MW broadcasting antenna. The effects of buildings on the wave propagation is studied based on the numerical results and field measurements. Both the algorithm and results are useful in the design of broadcasting antennas, as well as in the selection of transmitting sites.
