谈词汇测试设计中应注意的问题

词汇是英语语言三大要素之一。几乎所有的英语测试,特别是标准化或大型的测试都把词汇测试作为必不可少的一部分。词汇测试在英语测试中起着十分重要的作用。迄今为止已有许多文章、专著就词汇测试的设计法作过详细的论述。本文从一个不同的角度就词汇测试设计中应注意的问题进行讨论,并提出三个主要的观点和建议。希望这些建议对中学英语教师有借鉴作用。

Some Aspects Should Be Emphasized In Vocabulary Test Design

English vocabulary ranks the second among the 3 constituents of English language. Almost all the English tests, especially the standard or large-scale ones, are sure to include vocabulary as their inseparable parts, so vocabulary tests play an important role in English language examinations. Up to now theories and methods on how to design vocabulary tests have been demonstrated in many articles and monographs. This article, at quite a different angle, sets out to discuss the aspects that should be paid attention to when a vocabulary test is designed and written. Three leading respects of suggestions are put forward in this article in the hope that they will be instrumental to the English teachers both at junior and senior school levels.
