文化自觉与大学英语教学

基于文化自觉的观点,对大学英语教材中涉及中国文化元素的内容进行统计,并对学生中国文化的英文表达能力进行问卷调查分析。结果显示学生在跨文化交流中对西方文化表达较为从容,而在母语文化表达上屡屡出现失语现象。鉴于此,重新审视大学英语教学中渗透中国文化的必要性,增强教师的文化自信和培养学生的文化自觉意识迫在眉睫。

Study on Cultural Consciousness and College English Teaching

On the basis of the concept of the cultural consciousness, a study is made on the quantity of Chinese culture involved in college English curriculum and the students＇ability to express Chinese culture. The result shows that there has long been lack of conveying of Chinese culture in college English teaching due to excessive emphasis of western culture and almost aphasia of Chinese culture, which makes it extremely urgent to re - examine the necessity of infiltration of Chinese culture into college English teaching and to cultivate the students＇ cultural consciousness as well as teachers.
