英国皇家学会的早期发展对科学社团的启示

著名的英国皇家学会（TheRoyalSociety）是迄今为止全世界最古老而又从未间断过的科学组织，现已具有英国科学院的职能。而皇家学会在它的发展早期与当今的科学社团在许多方面都有相同之处，如成员结构、活动内容与形式，甚至面ll当的困难和问题以及所采取的应对措施都与今天的科学社团很相似，然而英国皇家学会却走了那么久远，发展得那么壮大。由此可见，英国皇家学会所表现的内在精神、产生的各种机制体制、应对问题的重大举措等对于当今的科学社团来说都具有深刻的启示和借鉴参考作用。

Early Development of the Royal Society and its Inspiration for Scientific Societies

The famous Royal Society is by far the world＇s most ancient and never stopped scientific organiza- tion, now has the functions of the British Academy of Science. In its early stage of development, there are many aspects in common with today＇s scientific community, such as the member structure, content and form of activ- ity, even the difticutties and problems that confronted it, and the measures took to deal with are very similar to today＇s scientific community, though the Royal Society has gone so long and developed so well. Thus, the in- ner spirit demonstrated by the Royal Society, a variety of institutional mechanisms produced by the Royal Soci- ety, and its important initiatives to deal with the problem have a profound inspiration and reference to today＇s scientific community.
