从接受美学与目的论看喜剧字幕翻译策略——以《黑衣人3》为例

喜剧类影片字幕翻译常面临归化与异化之争,直译与意译之争,尤其是近年来的网络热词争议,应从一个新视角对其翻译策略进行研究。接受美学认为,字幕翻译应以观众的审美为核心,译者应充分实现与源文作者及观众的视域融合,发挥译者主体性。目的论不仅强调目的性,还主张连贯性与忠实性,即应注意译文语境和译者主体性应有"度"。二者结合研究可得出喜剧字幕翻译应遵循简洁、连贯性与期待视域并重以及译者主体性与忠实性结合的策略。并以引起译界讨论热潮的喜剧《黑衣人3》的字幕翻译加以验证。

On Comedy Subtitle Translation Strategy from the Perspective of Reception Aesthetics and Skopos Theory:with MIB Ⅲ as an Exemplar

Abstract:For comedy subtitle translation,there are always arguments about"domestication"or"foreignization";"liter al translation"or"free translation".This becomes more fierce in recent years in respect of whether or not should internet words be adopted,comedy subtitle translation strategy investigation from a new aspect is an urgent call.Reception emphasizes readers’ core position during the process of information dissemination,and requires the translator,to his/her best,to seek for the integra tion of horizon of expectations with the writer and the reader.Thus the translator is given enormous subjectivity.Skopos theory insists coherence rule and fidelity rule besides skopos rule,which means translator must pay attention to the context and have cer tain"limit"in his subjectivity.By Combining these two theories,it can be concluded that comedy subtitle translation should obey such strategies as:simple and clear;emphasize both coherence and horizon of expectations;and combine translator subjectiv ity and fidelity.The subtitle translation of Man in Black Ⅲ(MIB),which has been arousing extensive arguments among transla tors,is analyzed in the light of these strategies.
