| 摘 要： | 委婉语是英汉语言中共有的一种修辞现象,由于中西方文化、经济、政治及人们生活方式的异同,使委婉语在英汉两种语言中表现出差异和交叉现象。本文运用对比分析的方法,阐述了这种差异和交叉,并从文化背景方面分析其产生的原因。
