| 摘 要： | 文章以英汉成语为研究对象,揭示和分析成语中诸如显性隐喻、隐性隐喻和类比等隐喻模式。隐喻在成语从字面意义升华的过程中起着工具和桥梁的作用,这一过程就是隐喻形成的过程。

| Abstract: | This paper focuses on English and Chinese idioms. The paper draws the conclusion that the categories of metaphor like simile and analogy also exist in idioms. Metaphor functions as the bridge that connects an idiom' s original meaning with its metaphorical one. In fact, the meaning transferring process is the formation of metaphor. |
