《简.爱》是19世纪女性作家夏绿蒂.勃朗特的代表作品,小说大团圆式的结局,历来遭到评论界的批评。但本文却认为,这样的一个结局恰恰反映了19世纪女作家对于女性问题的思考,即女性要独立必须要有独立的经济基础,在家庭关系中要获得真正平等的地位。当然,小说的结局也反映了作者对于女性出路问题思考的不彻底,这是时代局限性的反映。

Jane Eyre was the representative work of the female writers in the 19th century;however,the ending of happy reunion was always criticized.The author of the following paper thought this kind of ending showed that female writers began to consider about female problems: if women wanted to be independent,they must have economic basis and equal position in the families.Certainly,the ending of the novel showed that Charlotte was not thorough to think over women's way out,which was limited by the time.
