President's Message
Authors:Bruce Shertzer
Abstract:Counselor trainees' perceptions of inhibition while they were conducting interviews in differently monitored situations (audio-, video-, nonmonitor) were studied. The results clearly indicate that beginning counselors perceive monitoring to have an inhibiting effect upon their interview performance. Audio-monitoring was perceived as less inhibiting than video-monitoring. Implications concerning uses of video-monitoring in practicum situations are discussed.
