| Abstract: | The spectrum of light emitted by a star holds deep secrets about it. In particular it gives the temperature of a star. It can also reveal the abundances of elements and whether they are in atomic or ionised states. This part of the series dwells upon some of the riddles associated with stellar spectra and their implications. |
