神话原型意义的本质性探讨——结构主义神话研究对神话原型批评理论应用的启示

弗莱的神话原型批评理论于20世纪五六十年代在西方文论界兴起，对文学批评理论和方法产生了深远的影响。因而，运用神话原型理论进行文学批评的实践也层出不穷。但是，文章认为，将神话原型批评只限定在运用“神话原型的交际作用”来找出文学作品中的意象、主题等是不够的，还应深入神话文本进一步探讨这种神话原型意象的本质意义。

A Rethinking of Myth Archetype: The Significance of Structuralistic Mythology to Myth and Archetypal Criticism

Frye＇s Myth and Archetypal Criticism flourished during the 1950s and the 1960s in the West, this theory has great influence upon literary criticism. Scholars usually apply this approach to illustrate literature, but in many cases, these researches are confined to using ＂the communicative role of myth archetype＂ to find out images and themes in a particular literary work. This thesis proposes that we should use Myth and Archetypal Criticism further to explore the es- sence of archetype within the myth with Structuralistic ： Mythology.
