晚清新小说人物命名初探

晚清特殊的社会和时代背景造就了新小说这一异于传统小说的样式，它不仅充满新概念新事物，还具有新的化内涵，并通过独具一格的人物命名体现出来。人物命名的目的在新小说中分为三大类：一为讽刺人物，二为表现主旨，三为构造情节。通过这一类型化研究,可以使我们对晚清新小说的价值作一番新的思考。

Exploration of the Naming of Characters in New Novels in Late Qing Dynasty

The form of the New Novels is quite different from that of the traditional novels due to the particular society and epoch background in the Late Qing Dynasty. The New Novels are not only full of new concepts and new things, but also imbued with new cultural connotations, which are reflected by the unique names of the characters in them. The aims the authors wanted to attain when naming the characters can be mainly divided into three types: the first type is intended to satirize, the second type to display the purport, and the third type to build plots. We may form some new ideas of the value of the New Novels through this study.
