| 摘 要： | 作为中国近代教育特别是高等教育改革的伟大先驱,蔡元培先生在中国教育民主化的进程中做出了积极的理论探索与实践.他力主发展个性、崇尚自然以培养国民之完全人格,坚持"教育独立"于政党与教派,大力推行"教授治校",以体现教育之民主.时至今日,蔡元培的教育思想仍如淙淙溪水滋润着人们,可惜蔡先生在教育民主探索与实践之路上走得并不远,最后还成了悲剧的终结.
