Non-government Higher Education in China has gone through 25 years. Although it has attained certain achievements, it still belongs to one of vulnerable groups. In recent years, the phenomena of frequent bankruptcy of private higher education institutions have caused worries and concerns in the society. Is there still space for the development of private higher education in China? To reply the question requires us to sort out the history of non-government higher education and explore the future of it. In fact, in the perspective of the tendency of international higher education, our national economic development level, the demand for higher education of the public, the ability of national supply and the policy of national government, the non-government higher education in China will have great development. That is an inevitable outcome of history.
