Pragmatic Transfer and Failure in High School Students' English Writing and its implications for English Teaching
Abstract:Pragmatic transfer is an evitable phenomenon in foreign language learning.When the rules of the native language and the target language are the same,the transfer can be positive;otherwise,negative transfer arises.From the perspective of pragmatics,this paper classifies and makes a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the pragmatic failure in students' writing and elucidates the implications for the teaching of English writing.
