Pragmatic Transfer and Failure in High School Students' English Writing and its implications for English Teaching

Pragmatic transfer is an evitable phenomenon in foreign language learning.When the rules of the native language and the target language are the same,the transfer can be positive;otherwise,negative transfer arises.From the perspective of pragmatics,this paper classifies and makes a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the pragmatic failure in students' writing and elucidates the implications for the teaching of English writing.
