| Abstract: | The element of absurd in Shakespeare's plays has its roots in Old Testament wisdom literature, particularly in the book of Ecclesiastes. The thesis gives some examples from the book of Ecclesiastes to present the existence of the absurd and shows several elements in Hamlet. |
