近代文化名人贺涛

作为近代的文化名人,贺涛更多地接受了传统教育,特别是师承于吴汝纶、张裕钊,他的桐城古文达到了很高的水平,并以此为教学内容,使桐城古文在直隶得到了广泛传播。贺涛虽然是一位旧式文人,但也能接受一些新观念,从而增加了近代直隶地方文化的内容,也延续了传统文化。

HeTao-a Famous Scholar of Modern Times

As a famous scholar of modern times, HeTao received much more traditional education,especially studied under the guidance of Wu Ru-lun and Zhang Yu-zhao,which promoted him to a very high level of writing Tongcheng classical writing.Later he took it as the main content of his teaching course and spread it extensively in ZhiLi Province. Although HeTao was a scholar of old type, he accepted some new concept,therefore he enriched the cultural content of modern local culture of ZhiLi province and continued the traditional culture.
