Cezanne and Huang Binhong have used the shapes of "sphere,cylinder and cone" and "all kinds of triangular arcs" in their oil paintings and Chinese traditional landscape paintings respectively.After an overall and specific comparison,the author puts forward that their similarities lie in their natural and creative use of geometric forms in their works,but the shapes of "sphere,cylinder and cone" and "all kinds of triangular arcs" are obviously different.The reasons are the differences between western and Chinese culture and arts which influence on the painters' cognitive styles and their paintings.
