Abstract: | Mr. Robot is a cyber-thriller television show that premiered on USA Network during the summer of 2015. Apart from quickly becoming a cult hit, the show was lauded for accurately portraying hacker culture. The goal of this article is to isolate three specific cybersecurity issues that recur through the first season of Mr. Robot: personal cybersecurity, corporate cybersecurity, and remote access Trojans; and to determine what laws the characters are in violation of as well as recent case law that can be applied to them. |
