Abstract:The research method of network ethnography was adopted to achieve participatory “immersion” for the virtual fitness community of “Pamela” in Station B and extended to offline for in-depth interview and observation. By dividing “Pamela” and the five ideal types of participants in the exercise video, this paper observed their body appearance and interaction, so as to see the interaction between young women’s sports bodies and Internet technology. It also discussed how young women realized their body identity through body representation in the social network space and revealed the perceived content and expression form of their moving bodies in the life world. It was suggested that: (1) the movement of the body from “absence” to “presence” was a sign generated by the interaction between the body and technology, and the mutual perception between the body and the world was reflected by the adhesion of mutual forces; (2) The barrages ritual interaction transformed the immediate expression of body expression into a strong identity and tried to have a dialogue with others; (3) Young women’s “body of resistance” and “own” movement was an effective way to break the oppression of “feminization” by men and the weakness of “self-feminization”.
Keywords:sport exercises  network ethnography  ideal type  identity  perceptual adhesion  gender binary
