社会转型是中国在深化改革，扩大开放的背景下进行社会系统的结构重组和运作模式整体转换的观念反映，是由计划经济体制向社会主义市场经济体制转轨的理论表述，是包括中国在内的广大“后发型”国家奋起实现现代化的时代呼声，是这些国家由“民族史”走向“世界史”的客观要求，改革是转型的前奏和准备，转型是改革的总结和提升。

From reform to transformation on the historical logic of mode rnization in China

Since the 1990s,the term of social transformation has been widely used as one of the important categories and theories, for describing and interpreting today's social change in China.It does not happen but should be regarded as a reflection of reconstruction and fundamental change in social operation system of China while the reform is developing in depth and opening is extending in width, as a theoretical generalization of the process of transforming the planned economy system into market system; as time's voice of modernization of developing countries including China,and as an objective demand of the trend of history from the nationality of the world. Reform is the prelude to transformation, and the transformation is the summary and development to the reform.
