General Education in University-Level Professional Studies

This paper is a summary of the Second Interim Report (September 1984) of the work of the Industrie-University Foundation, Brussels, Belgium, on one of the projects within the ‘Industry-University Action Research and Evaluation Programme’?. This project is described as an evaluation of and proposals for corrective action concerning assumed deficiencies in the general education of professionally trained persons which hamper their ability to serve effectively at more senior levels of managerial responsibility.
