After teaching in several schools, he was Commonwealth Universities Academic Staff Scholar at the Bristol University School of Education, where he completed a doctoral dissertation in cultural studies and psychology. Previous publications include essays on popular fiction and 'mass media violence', and on the cognitive aspects of childhood and adult fears. |
