摘    要:现代大学教育十分重视教材建设。评价教材的标准和维度应该是多样化的。从接受视角来检讨现行大学英语精读教材的编选及教学效果,所选篇目在思想倾向、课文类型、课文年代、课文的国别来源以及课文背景资料介绍、教学中的课堂互动、教学任务的完成、课后练习等方面都存在着一些问题,有待于编选者和教授者不断改进和完善。

Abstract:Great importance has been attached to today' s college education in China, and instruction materials ought to be evaluated from different dimensions. From the user's perspective, Contemporary College English: Intensive Reading I-VI (FLTRP, 2002) is found with some drawbacks in terms of its materials adopted and the effect in instruction. The problems manifest themselves in ideological inclination, topical themes, dates of publication, origins of authorship, background notes, classroom interaction, assignment tasks and exercises, where there is still room for improvement by both compilers and instructors.
