语言意识活动可以在两种语言相互转换的准确性和流利性之间架起一座桥梁.准确理解和流畅表达是翻译过程中的两个重要步骤.从学生的翻译失误看,往往由于理解上出现了偏差、或任意增删等而导致译文表达不能到位.学生增强对英汉两种语言意识的了解就可以减少翻译失误.

Language Awareness and Translation Failure

Language awareness activities can bridge the accurateness and smoothness in the transfer of two languages. Accurate comprehension of the origin and proper expression in the target language are the two key steps in translation. However, translation failure shows that students cannot bring out the original meaning both comprehensively and accurately without any distortion or casual addition or deletion of the original thought in doing their assignments. Hence, they can make less failure by enhancing their language awareness of English and Chinese.
