论语法——翻译法与应用型本科大学英语教学

本文就目前应用型本科院校大学生英汉翻译能力严重不足问题,分析了造成语法———翻译法在大学英语教学中陷入困境的主要原因,指出培养学生的语法应用能力是其主要教学任务之一,提高英汉互译能力是大学英语教学的最主要目的,建议增加语法———翻译课时,改进大学英语教学。

On Grammar-Translation Methods and College English Teaching in Application Universities

At present, college students have poor ability in English-Chinese translation. The article analyzes the main problems and reasons caused in college English teaching. It points out that one of its main tasks is to develop students＇ ability of grammar application and most importantly its purpose is to promote students＇ ability of English-Chinese translation. So we should add hours of grammar-translation teaching to improve our college English teaching.
